Pipette Tips Singapore: 10 µL, 200 µL and 1000 µL Buying Guide

Updated: October 18, 2026 | Category: Lab Consumables | Singapore

Pipette tips look simple, but the wrong tip can cost far more than the box: inaccurate volumes, aerosol contamination, stripped pipette collars, or a rack that does not fit your pipette. This guide explains what to check before ordering pipette tips in Singapore, and how the ACESUN range covers the three most common working volumes.

Fit matters more than brand name. Check the tip collar diameter, the length of the pipette nose, and whether your pipette is a standard or a multi-channel model. A tip that “looks right” can sit too low and cause volume errors.

Filtered or non-filtered?

Use filtered tips when the sample or the pipette barrel must stay free of aerosol carry-over: PCR and qPCR, viral work, cell culture, and any application where a contaminated barrel would invalidate the next sample. The filter is a barrier, not a sterilisation step — pair it with sterile tips when working aseptically.

Non-filtered tips are usually sufficient for general chemistry, buffer preparation, and non-critical dilutions. They are also cheaper per tip when you consume thousands per week.

Sterile, DNase/RNase-free, low retention

Racked or bulk?

Racked tips save bench time and reduce contamination risk, but cost more and generate more plastic waste. Bulk bags are the economical choice for high-volume routine work; many labs use racks for PCR and bulk bags for general chemistry. If you are transitioning to automation, confirm the rack footprint and the tip format with your instrument vendor first.

Compatibility with common pipettes

ACESUN universal tips are designed for common single-channel and multi-channel pipettes, including Eppendorf, Gilson, Thermo Scientific and Sartorius models. Compatibility depends on the specific model and year, so we recommend a small fit test before a carton-scale order. Free samples are available for evaluation in Singapore.

Quality and documentation

Tips are produced in controlled moulding conditions and tested for dimensional consistency. For regulated labs, request the lot-specific documentation you need for your supplier qualification — for example sterility, DNase/RNase, or endotoxin statements where applicable. We will confirm what is available for the exact SKU rather than make a blanket claim.

Singapore stock and delivery

Fast-moving tip sizes are held in Singapore and typically ship within 1–2 business days. Bulk and automation formats may be supplied from the regional warehouse; lead time is confirmed at quotation. Combine tips with centrifuge tubes, Petri dishes and other consumables to reduce shipping cost.

Frequently asked questions

Do ACESUN tips fit Eppendorf and Gilson pipettes?

They are designed as universal tips for common single-channel and multi-channel pipettes, including Eppendorf and Gilson. Because fit varies by model, test a sample before ordering cartons.

Should I choose filtered or non-filtered tips?

Use filtered tips for PCR, cell culture, viral work and any application where aerosol carry-over matters. Non-filtered tips are fine for general chemistry and routine dilutions.

Are the tips DNase and RNase free?

DNase/RNase-free options are available. Tell us your assay and documentation requirements so we can confirm the exact SKU and lot documentation.

What is the difference between racked and bulk tips?

Racked tips are ready to use and reduce contamination risk; bulk bags are more economical for high-volume routine work. Many labs use both.

Can you supply Hamilton or Tecan automation tips?

Yes, conductive filtered tips for Hamilton and Tecan formats are available. Confirm the instrument model and rack format when requesting a quote.
